L'Orientaliste is not only the venerable name for scientist exploring
the orient, but also the name of a study-trip-operator, founded
more than 20 years ago by a group of German students of archeology
and egyptology from the Rhine-Main-Area, which in addition to mentioned
name also selected the traditional beduin with his camel as wellknown
logo.
Although the market is heavily dominated by giants of the industry since
long (another few disappeared over the years), L'Orientaliste,
however, under its original founder Andreas Bieber, weathered quite a few
crises while defying market shake-outs and established itself since
nearly a quarter century in a highly specialised niche market for high-quality,
individually organized study trips and special operations.
